GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Ensure that quality policies and procedures are implemented to provide a quality product that meets design parameters throughout the manufacturing process.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control within manufacturing processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- 80% bilingual (English/Spanish).
- SPC knowledge.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000.
- Control Plans and FMEA.
- Leadership skills.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Problem-solving techniques and methodologies.
- Statistical techniques.
- PFMEA, DOE, QFD, and PPAP.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of NDT methods, including MPI and UT.
- Knowledge of material composition.
- Knowledge of welding processes (TIG & MIG).
- Google Tools and Data Studio experience (preferred).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership for Quality Control and Nonconforming Product processes.
- Resolve quality-related issues with suppliers and customers.
- Support the corrective action system (internal and external).
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing regarding product quality and its function within the design.
- Define quality gauge requirements for manufacturing processes.
- Provide leadership to Quality Control Engineers and Technicians.
- Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing on capability studies, gauge R&R; studies, and DOE activities.
- Perform any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the department supervisor.
- Carry out safety-related activities.
- Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements applicable to the position in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
- Complete all planned Quality and Training-related training activities on time.
- Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and support corrective actions.
- Comply with all safety rules and requirements established for the position.
