About Rotortrade & RotorLease
Rotortrade is a fast-growing international helicopter company specializing in helicopter trading, leasing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), and aviation support services. Trusted by operators around the world, Rotortrade combines technical expertise, commercial insight and a strong global network to deliver tailored, high-value solutions across the rotorcraft sector. RotorLease is a new strategic business line within the Rotortrade ecosystem, created to develop flexible and innovative leasing and financing solutions for helicopter operators and partners worldwide.
Role Summary The company is building a new leasing arm within its Rotortrade ecosystem. This role owns the full non-commercial lifecycle of the leasing business: client credit assessment, legal and contractual documentation, financial analysis and credit accreditation, and structuring of the leasing product with funding banks, SPVs, and trusts. Commercial activity — client sourcing, sales, and dealership relationships — remains with Rotortrade and is outside the scope of this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Credit Assessment & Underwriting
- Run the end-to-end credit assessment process for leasing clients: financial statement analysis, credit scoring, and risk grading.
- Prepare credit files and recommendation memos for internal and/or bank approval.
- Define and monitor credit limits, exposure caps, and risk-based pricing inputs.
- Monitor ongoing portfolio credit quality, delinquency, and covenant compliance.
2. Legal & Documentation
- Draft, review, liaise with our legal counsels and issue lease agreements, security documents, and guarantees.
- Manage the full documentation lifecycle: KYC, contract execution, and registration/perfection of security interests.
- Ensure compliance with applicable leasing, consumer credit, and financial regulations.
- Maintain and continuously improve document templates and the standard terms library.
3. Financial Analysis & Credit Accreditation
- Build and maintain financial models supporting the credit accreditation process.
- Prepare accreditation packages and reporting for funding banks and financial institutions.
- Analyze portfolio economics: yields, loss rates, and cost of funding.
- Support pricing and risk-based structuring decisions with quantitative analysis.
4. Product & Funding Structuring
- Structure the leasing product to align with the requirements of funding banks, SPVs (special purpose vehicles), and trust structures.
- Coordinate with banks and lenders on warehouse facilities, securitization, or forward-flow funding arrangements.
- Support the design and ongoing governance/reporting requirements of SPV and trust structures.
- Ensure alignment between product design, funding covenants, and regulatory requirements.
