Job Summary
Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and services to internal and external customers. Administration, optimization and coordination of the entire order and shipment cycle.
Responsibilities
- Import/Export Tracking: Follow-up of raw material guides that will arrive at Protrans Laredo
- Tracking of raw material guides that will arrive at the airport
- Constant communication with the warehouse to know about the reception of materials (reject PT, MP, Packaging)
- Monitoring of boxes in transit until their arrival at destination
- Generation of guides for the different services of UPS, DHL, FEDEX to collect from Laredo
- Tracking FG guides from Laredo to Destination Millenium to Houston
- Export Tracking
- Import item scheduling
- Priorities of the plants in terms of emergencies (emails are received from planning to set urgencies)
- Receipt of the general list of floor MP by the Warehouse
- Generation of loading order for warehouse
- Import transportation scheduling
- Transportation scheduling import Laredo
- Verification with warehouse of boxes that are on the floor (packaging, inbond, floor)
- Container transport scheduling & coordination of dispatch of Manzanillo containers
- Book container shipments from Manzanillo to KDM
- Making changes to Manzanillo container scheduling
- Altamira container dispatch coordination
- Book container shipments from Altamira to KDM
- Making changes to Altamira's container schedule, routing guide coordination of national collections
- Export transport scheduling & coordination for equipment export
- Coordination of transport for export by airport
- Export transportation scheduling to Laredo or Houston
- Provider,
payment and claims management: new logistics providers quote, shipping quote to Laredo-Houston, audit carrier accounts, move to accounts payable transactions with carriers
- Generation of claims with carriers/warehouse
Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of trade compliance, foreign trade, logistics and CTPAT or AEO security certifications
- Planning and organization ability to establish and assign actions logically and orderly to achieve objectives within available resources and deadlines
- Pressure resistance: ability to continue to act effectively under time pressure, disagreement, opposition, and diversity
- Written communication: ability to transmit ideas and opinions clearly and understandably in written discourse, adapted to the objective and receiver
- Ability to analyze and synthesize: capture and evaluate situations and problems, separating integral parts and reflecting logically to reach adequate conclusions, presenting them in a synthetic and orderly way
