Manual QA Engineer – AI-Assisted Development

About the Role

We are looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our team and work closely with developers who use AI-assisted development tools. The idóneo candidate has strong manual testing experience, solid technical understanding, and the ability to identify potential issues in code generated or modified with the help of AI.

Responsibilities

- Design and execute manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Review and validate functionality developed using AI-assisted coding tools.
- Identify bugs, unexpected behavior, edge cases, and potential issues introduced through AI-generated or AI-assisted code.
- Collaborate closely with developers to understand how features were implemented and ensure they meet requirements.
- Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to the development team.
- Document and track defects using tools such as Jira.
- Participate in requirements reviews and help identify potential issues before development is completed.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify scenarios that may not be covered by standard test cases.
- Support the team in maintaining high-quality, reliable software as AI-assisted development becomes part of the development workflow.

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in Manual QA / Software Testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.




- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Strong ability to create detailed test cases and identify edge cases.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar.
- Basic understanding of software development and programming concepts.
- Ability to understand and analyze code sufficiently to identify potential testing scenarios and risks.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum development teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good English communication skills.

AI Experience

- Experience working in an environment where developers use AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar.
- Understanding of the potential risks and limitations of AI-generated code.
- Ability to think critically about AI-assisted implementations rather than assuming that generated code is correct.
- Experience identifying edge cases, logic errors, security concerns, or unexpected behavior that may result from AI-assisted development is a plus.

Nice to Have

- Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.
- Basic SQL/database testing experience.
- Basic understanding of automation testing.
- Experience reviewing code or working closely with developers.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Experience with .NET or another programming language used by the development team.
