Senior Data Scientist

Contractor · Remote in Mexico · Full-time · 3-month project (potential extension)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a high-impact team focused on solving complex business challenges through advanced analytics, machine learning, optimization, and Generative AI. This is a highly hands-on role where you will design, develop, deploy, and continuously improve production-grade AI and data science solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

This is an initial 3-month contract with a strong renewal track record.

Responsibilities

- Develop machine learning models for forecasting, regression, and statistical analysis.
- Build optimization models for business use cases such as demand planning, inventory optimization, and resource allocation.
- Design and deploy LLM-powered solutions and AI agents in production environments.
- Orchestrate agentic workflows with tool integration, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Apply cloud and MLOps practices to deploy, manage, and continuously improve AI solutions at scale.

What We're Looking For

- 8 years of hands-on experience in Data Science,



delivering production-grade solutions in business environments.
- Strong expertise in traditional machine learning techniques, including time series forecasting (ARIMA, SARIMA), regression models, and statistical methods.
- Proven experience designing and implementing optimization models, including linear programming, mixed-integer programming, and heuristics.
- Recent hands-on experience with Generative AI initiatives, including LLM-based solutions and agentic workflows.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operationalizing AI agents in production environments.
- Strong domain experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, specifically in Sales, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- Ability to translate business challenges into scalable analytical and AI-driven solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Python and modern data science ecosystems.

Nice to Have

- Additional experience across multiple Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) functional areas, including Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.
