Software Developer Analyst – Workday Extend The Role

Dematic / KION is looking for a Software Developer Analyst to join our HR Technology team and support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of applications and integrations within the Workday ecosystem.

We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in software development, APIs, integrations, and web technologies, who is interested in growing their expertise in Workday Extend.

Previous experience with Workday or Workday Extend is a plus, but not necessarily required. A strong technical foundation, curiosity, and willingness to learn are key for this role.

What You’ll Do

- Develop and maintain custom applications using Workday Extend.
- Support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, XSLT, and XPath.
- Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Workday Integration Specialists, HR teams, and System Architects.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, releases, upgrades, and deployment activities.
- Monitor existing applications and help identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in resolving technical issues related to applications and integrations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, test plans, and solution documentation.
- Follow Integral IT standards, governance,



and development best practices.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in software development, application development, or integration development.
- Knowledge or hands-on experience with:
- REST APIs
- JSON
- XML
- SOAP Web Services
- XSLT / XPath
- JavaScript
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience with Java / J2EE or a similar programming language is a plus.
- Basic understanding of software development, debugging, testing, and application lifecycle concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an international environment.
- Advanced English proficiency.
