POSITION SUMMARY
- As a Sourcing Specialist, your primary responsibility is to identify, evaluate, and select the best suppliers or candidates to meet the company's needs for goods, services, or talent.
- The Sourcing Specialist plays a strategic role in identifying the best external resources to support company operations, whether in terms of products, services, or talent. Their work directly contributes to operational efficiency and overall business success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supplier/Candidate Research: Utilize databases, professional networks, recruitment platforms, and other tools to identify potential suppliers or qualified candidates.
- Options Evaluation: Analyze potential suppliers or candidates based on specific criteria such as quality, price, delivery capability, or skills.
- Negotiation: Conduct negotiations to secure the best contractual, pricing, or employment terms with selected suppliers or candidates.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and candidates to ensure consistent quality of goods/services or talent retention.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on supplier performance, market trends, recruitment campaign outcomes, etc., to optimize sourcing processes.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to evaluate and compare information from different sources to make informed decisions.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to conduct effective negotiations to achieve the best terms for the company.
- Sourcing Tools Proficiency: Competent use of databases, recruitment platforms, and other sourcing technologies.
- Results Orientation: Ability to achieve and exceed sourcing objectives set by the company.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with suppliers, candidates, and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, procurement, industrial engineering, logistics, or a related field is required.
- 2- 4 years of experience.
PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- 10% travel to different office locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary.
