Our team in Mexico is growing; we are currently recruiting a Process/Metallurgic Consultant Director to join our project delivery business line in Mexico.

About The Role

Participate in technical stage-gate reviews within each study on key areas such as process design, general layouts, bulk quantities, capital/operating costs, financial model and final NI 43-101 reporting.
In conjunction with the Study Manager, develop project scope based on understanding of key clients’ businesses and operational needs.
Lead the effort in developing new client relationships relevant to the group. Work with Business Development to identify, evaluate, and respond to opportunities, ensuring alignment with company direction.
Strong knowledge in mineral processing plants, overseeing metallurgical operations, process optimization, and strategic technical decision making.
Demonstrated proficiency in CAPEX and OPEX planning, management, and cost control, with the ability to evaluate investments, operational expenses, and ensure financial efficiency across projects and operations.




Comfortable and effective in leading, developing, and mentoring technical teams, including engineers, metallurgists, and process designers, fostering a high performance and collaborative work environment.
Contribute to the successful planning and execution of Ausenco studies/projects across the region relative to the client’s business needs by providing broad or specific guidance in the group’s area of expertise, as needed.
Define and communicate task and performance expectations for direct reports, monitor performance against the requirements and take action where appropriate.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering.
Minimum of 6 years of experience developing studies, predominantly within the mining industry.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to meet clients as required.
Proven ability to collaborate and contribute effectively as part of cross-functional project teams.
