Role Summary

We're looking for a Senior Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin. This role sits within the mobile engineering team and starts as an individual-contributor assignment focused on Android, with a defined path to move into a React Native-focused role as the team's cross-platform footprint grows.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android architecture components
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code following MVVM and Clean Architecture principles
- Collaborate with backend developers to define and consume REST APIs, ensuring efficient data exchange
- Apply and grow React Native expertise to support the team's upcoming transition to cross-platform development
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot defects, and optimize app performance across devices and OS versions
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical trade-offs clearly with product managers, designers, and engineering peers




- Stay current with Android ecosystem trends and contribute technical recommendations to the team
- Take on informal mentoring of junior engineers as a step toward future team leadership

Required Qualifications
- 9+ years of experience developing native Android applications, with deep expertise in Kotlin and the Android SDK
- Demonstrated track record owning complex, production-scale Android apps end to end — architecture, performance, and release
- Extensive, hands-on experience building and shipping applications with React Native
- Strong command of MVVM/Clean Architecture, RESTful web services, and modern dependency-injection and testing practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing technical decisions across distributed, cross-functional teams
- Prior experience mentoring engineers or acting as a technical point of contact for a team
