About the Role
We're looking for a Ruby on Rails engineer to own the migration of our system integration from V1 directly to V3. This is a mandated upgrade that transitions our integration from a synchronous, batch-polling model to a fully asynchronous architecture using Individual Callback Notifications. You'll implement both the legacy V2 data-contract changes (which we're skipping as a standalone release) and the new V3 async framework.

What You'll Do
- API Migration & Data Contract Retrofitting - Implement V2 data-gap changes including mandatory country codes, SSN→national Id field renaming across all PII endpoints, culture code enforcement, input regex sanitation, and optional external reference ID mapping.
- Asynchronous Architecture - Build the V3 Long Running Search Support framework with individual report webhook callbacks and landlord attestation integration.




- UI/UX & Compliance - Develop an async dashboard, disclaimer modals for Identity/Income reports, renter-visibility restrictions, and HTML doctype rendering.
- Cutover Execution - Participate in staging validation, Deploy Night execution, and Register API + Notifications migration.

What We're Looking For

Required
- 4+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with third-party API integrations (especially financial or identity services)
- Solid understanding of asynchronous architectures - webhooks, callbacks, event-driven patterns
- Experience with server-to-server authentication (OAuth, token-based auth, MFA/multi-key rotation)
- Working knowledge of TLS/HTTPS, IP whitelisting, and secure data handling for PII
- Familiarity with data migration strategies - versioned API contracts, backwards compatibility, and cutover planning
- Comfort work
