The Tax Team at TikTok helps ensure that our company and all our products are tax compliant throughout different regions and countries. Also, the Tax Team provides support to internal requests and works with multiple different stakeholders to support product and business launches and new features.
We are seeking a Tax Manager, based in Mexico City, who can move fast and learn quickly to help establish and scale new processes for our Mexican portfolio, particularly on financial technology products.
This role will have a strong focus on Mexico tax compliance and operational tax matters related to financial services and payment‐related products, including withholding taxes, VAT, invoicing, fund flows, and regulatory reporting obligations applicable to digital platforms and fintech models. This role requires a hands‐on, operational tax mindset, with the ability to move quickly, manage ambiguity, and support the scale‐up of new products in a highly regulated environment.




Candidates should have a demonstrated ability to work on a integral team with cross‐border colleagues and cross‐functional teams. Support tax compliance (Corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding) and operational tax requirements for fintech and payment‐related products, including payment aggregation, digital wallets, cash advance, lending products, and other regulated financial services offered in Mexico.
Coordinate and monitor compliance with Mexican digital platform reporting obligations, including real‐time information access requirements, transactional data reporting, and tax authority information requests.
Work with Product, Engineering, Finance, and external vendors to design and implement scalable tax technology solutions, including tax determination engines, invoicing automation, withholding automation, and tax reporting systems.
Coordinate reviews with Mexican tax authorities (SAT), including audits, information requests, reporting reviews, remediation projects, and tax authority inquiries.
