Job Description
Objectives:
Ensure the proper assignment and balancing of circuit workloads across cutting machines, the accurate display of information derived from workload assignments and the maintenance of that information, maintain the appropriate staffing levels for efficient Cutting operations,
and assign the tooling and equipment to be used (Layout).
Responsibilities
Assign circuit workloads and cutting sequences on machines for new harnesses and/or engineering changes, ensuring proper machine balancing.
Display the information generated from circuit workload assignments on all machines (visual aids, work instructions, wire reference sheets, circuit directories, etc.).
Load production requirements on a weekly basis and/or implement updates resulting from significant production changes.
Analyze the tooling and equipment required for engineering changes and/or new programs.
Calculate the staffing (Manning) requirements resulting from engineering changes, new programs, or demand fluctuations.
Verify racking feasibility, overlap inventory control during engineering changes, and the management of obsolete materials.
Schedule service-part circuits (assignment to cutting machines) and monitor compliance with the schedule.
