About the role - 39744 - Regional Technical Services Lead (Underground Mining)

This position is responsible for leading the regional Technical Services team supporting underground mining operations, driving initiatives that create measurable value for customers and sustainable growth for Orica. The role is actively involved in projects related to tunnel development, underground production, drilling and blasting cycle optimization, and the implementation of technical solutions that improve customer safety, productivity,



and operational efficiency.

What you will be doing
- Champion Orica’s Safe Operating Procedures and lead a strong, visible safety culture.
- Lead the recruitment, development, performance, and capability growth of Technical Services personnel.
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customers while identifying business growth opportunities.
- Manage and deliver technical projects that generate measurable value for customers and support sustainable growth.
- Develop technical proposals, methodologies, and value presentations to support commercial and tender processes.
- Provide technical expertise to Territory Managers, customers, and internal teams.
- Plan resources, manage personnel deployment, and oversee area costs to support effective project delivery.
- Deliver training, accreditation, and technical learning programs for internal teams and customers, including SEB courses.
