Work you'll do/Responsibilities
The objective is to lead and oversee balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger operations for a mid-sized accounting team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting while strengthening controls, improving process efficiency, and supporting effective close and reporting activities. The role requires excellent stakeholder management skills and a drive for process enhancements.
- Lead and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of open items.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account analysis, subledger-to-general ledger tie-outs, and month-end close support.
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, setting priorities, quality expectations, and development plans.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting variances, aged reconciling items,



and process issues.
- Coordinate account lifecycle management (ALM) across account setup, maintenance, review, and closure, ensuring accurate processing, documentation, approvals, issue resolution, and coordination with finance operations and technology stakeholders.
- Strengthen accounting controls, documentation, and compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
- Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement across Record to Report (RTR) and Account Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes, prioritizing opportunities based on risk, value, and feasibility.
- Lead audit readiness and coordinate internal and external audit support by ensuring schedules, reconciliations, explanations, and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
