ABOUT THE POSITION
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, validating, and continuously improving CNC machining processes for aerospace components. This position supports new-product introduction, First Article Inspection development, and ongoing production while ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality requirements, and applicable aerospace standards. The engineer works closely with CNC programmers, production, quality, tooling, maintenance, and supply-chain teams to deliver safe, capable, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support for CNC milling, turning, mill-turn, and multi-axis machining operations.
Collaborate with CNC programmers to develop and optimize safe and efficient machining strategies.
Review CNC programs, tool lists, setup documentation, and simulation results when required.
Establish appropriate cutting parameters based on material, tool geometry, workholding rigidity, and machine capability.




Reporting to his hierarchy the issues and dysfunctions encountered and propose solutions.
Troubleshoot dimensional variation, chatter, tool wear, poor surface finish, distortion, burrs, and other machining problems.
Support machine setups, prove-outs, and process validation activities on the production floor.
Evaluate cutting tools, fixtures, probes, and machining technologies for potential implementation.
Develop complete manufacturing processes for new and existing aerospace components.
Develop and maintain manufacturing plans, routers, work instructions, setup sheets, and visual aids.
Define operation sequences, machine selection, workholding methods, cutting tools, inspection points, and process parameters.
Ensure all drawing notes, customer requirements, and key characteristics are properly incorporated into the manufacturing plan.
