**You Are**:
**The Opportunity**:
- Develop database objects and structures for data storage, retrieval, and reporting according to project specifications.
- Write database procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Perform data research, analysis, and conceptual and logical data modeling.
- Implement and test database design and functionality and have an understanding of query tuning.
- Review deploy requests and facilitate the deployment of DB Scripts in the test and other lower environments.
- Assist in determining optimal database solutions for architecture, efficiency, maintainability, and scalability.
- Assist with preparing release and rollback scripts.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the Data Dictionary as changes are introduced to the data model
- Help with mentoring junior Database Engineers
- Ensure changes follow AvidXchange Security Policies
- Work with Senior Database Engineer to analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Assist with on-call support for critical production systems. Using Advanced SQL Server including stored procedures, indexes, and functions




This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
**What you need**:
- Bachelor’s degree required in CS, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of developing for MS SQL Server or another enterprise RDBMS or performing Database Engineering duties
- Master’s degree in a CS, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of experience performing Database Engineering duties
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with physical and logical database design
- Experience with SQL Server security management
- Experience with SQL Server data integrity
- Azure Data Factory Experience
- Experience in implementing Source Control Best Practices
- Experience with web-based financial systems Practicing Agile software development processes (Scrum/Kanban)
