As a GCID Hyperscaler Engineering DevOps Engineer you will work closely with other engineers and operators across global teams and our lines of business to ensure business goals around data acquisition, storage and accessibility in our public cloud environments are met.
**The Role**:
The role will focus on breaking down complex problems into tactical actions and implementing ground-breaking solutions using the latest cloud technologies. This role requires extensive cross-group coordination, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across various horizontal functions. You are highly resourceful, creative, analytical and have a combination of focus, flexibility, self-motivation plus integrity and willingness to embrace the One SAP and customer first mentality that SAP is known for. **About the team**:
The responsible GCID Hyperscaler Engineering team plays a critical central role within SAP’s general public cloud transition. As a GCID HSE DevOps Engineer, you will be at the heart of the processes that empower SAP to develop and deliver high quality products quickly. Working with our lines of business, you will help build and run our next-generation technologies at global scale. **Role Requirements**:
- 2+ Years’ experience in AWS, Azure or GCP




- 2+ Years Enterprise Cloud Engineering and Operations at scale
- 2+ Years’ experience in working with data handling, data-driven processes and with Data Lakes
- Knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies - e.g. Terraform, Git, Jenkins, Grafana, StackDriver or equivalents
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell or equivalent scripting technologies and deployment automation
- Documentation of solutions (e.g. configuration and setup)
- Experience managing your own workloads within projects/Agile delivery methodologies
**Preferred experience**:
- A certification in one of AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred. Additionally experience in large-volume data handling, at a global enterprise scale, would be advantageous.
