The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated Accounting Analyst / Payroll. This position is located onsite in Mexico City near The World Trade Center.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform the daily accounting activities quickly and accurately record and report revenues, cost of sales, operating expenses, assets, liabilities, intercompany transactions, elaborate the working papers of taxes timely and, process payroll, social security payments and related taxes. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes and its internal control environment, ensuring that practices are in line with corporate controllership expectations.

What we’re looking for- Education Accounting degree or equivalent- Experience: 4-6 years of experience in accounting, payroll, and finance activities- Payroll system and SUA, Idse, escritorio virtual experience
- Must be bilingual:
- (Spanish (Fluent)
- English (intermediate/intermediate-advanced)- Preferred Qualifications:
- Software tools: SAP and Blackline experience preferred.How you will thrive and create an impact
As a major team contributor, this person will partner with carriers to:
- To perform day-to-day accounting matters related to Accounting, Taxes and Accounts Payables for VWR Mexico. Accounting matters include revenue, cost of sales, operating expense, interest, tax, assets, liabilities, and intercompany transactions.- Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts.- Prepare and present monthly Balance Sheet analysis to LATAM Controller.- Ensure all tax activities are met in a timely manner (Monthly, Quarterly & Annual basis).- Assist LATAM Controller to implement,



monitor and maintain internal controls.- Responsible for managing the month-end close and performance of month-end closing activities in SAP.- Review monthly and quarterly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.- Perform monthly review of manual journal entries for appropriateness.- Perform inter-company accounting and reconciliations.- Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting of data to Management.- Act as main point of contact with Internal and External auditors.- Assist with special projects as assigned to further enhance and simplify accounting and close processes.- Support ongoing business and financial system extensions, upgrades, and enhancements.
Payroll- Review and process employee timecard to process absences, overtime, time-off, sick leave, etc.- Process biweekly payroll calculations, assuring accurate tax and social security deductions.- Process payroll payments.- Issue employee pay slips (CFDIs) and monthly CFDIs reconciliation with the government (SAT)- Review social security -IMSS, INFONAVIT & FONACOT- consistency and process to payment.- Register bimonthly salary changes to the authority (IMSS), ALTAS Y BAJAS- Process payroll taxes payment. (ISN)- Attend IMSS and INFONAVIT requirements.- Work with external auditors to present annual opinion - IMSS, INFONAVIT, ISN- (Dictámen).- Calculate severance and/or terminations payments.- Register payroll information into the accounting, including accrual entries.
