**Education**:
Industrial, mechanical, electronic, mechatronic or related engineer
**Required Experience**:
2 to 5 years of experience in the automotive area desirable.
2 years of experience desirable.
**Required Knowledge**:
- Troubleshooting techniques
- DFMEA
- Core Tools
- Legislation applicable to the product (FMVSS, TL1010, TL957 )
- GD and T
- Specific customer requirements
- Those applicable to management systems
**Software**:
Minitab, **_Catia V5, _**Infor, Smarteam, Microsoft Office, COVISINT, WERS
**Responsibilities**:
- Evaluate and initiate the process of engineering changes, through the issuance of CR's/CO's (whether by client, supplier or internal).
- Hold CR/CO's follow-up meetings with the multidisciplinary team. Carry out and execute design of experiments, DOE; when applicable.
- Request the IMDS update in the internal system, when applicable. Participate in the analysis of potential failures (PFMEA) Review, analyze and update DFMEA, according to proposed engineering changes.
- Support the manufacturing and quality department with production problems in the plant and root cause analysis.
- Ensure that the SPV tests are executed and that the results and actions are communicated to the organization.
- Lead the QRCMs that arise from an SPV.



Provide the purchasing department and SQE with the technical information they require.
- Generate ideas for continuous improvement, in search of reductions in cost/quality of the product (VAVE).
- Provide technical support at customer plants.
- Use CAD tools (CATIA V5, KISTERS) to access, update and make engineering changes to the plans, made through a DWR.
- Ensure that the engineering BOM is accurate and up to date in the Smart team.
- Carry out frequent audits of the Engineering BOM, seeking that there are no differences in manufacturing and in the system.
- Obtain and interpret technical information from the plans (dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, etc.)
- Preparation of Stack Up studies (tolerance analysis) Ask the design engineer for the finite element analysis (FEA) when applicable.
- Coordinate activities to carry out special internal runs and for the client, such as PTR, SBR. (Define parameters; along with Manufacturing Engineering, product characteristics, necessary measurements, etc.); ensuring the delivery of PTR results presentation to the Engineering Change Coordinator.
- Communication of engineering requirements with the client and interface with the plant.
