Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Certification Engineer.
**What you’ll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:.
The Certification Engineer is responsible for ensuring the activities of the certification according to electrical-electronical Mexican Standards.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Define and maintain certification requirements up to date with Mexican Standards (NOM) & cUL for the products sale in the Mexican domestic market, manufacturing, and resale.
- Be the link between RWD and CANAME.
- Define, review, analyze and approve the electrical-electronical requirements for new product introductions or changes involving technical characteristics.
- Owns the certification regulatory documentation.
- Be part of the certificate implementation and maintenance procedures and work instructions (develop and execute certification plans and strategies).
- Directly responsible for generating all the projects specific certification documentation that is assigned.
- Reports on the performance of the certification activities for projects, to ensure conformity inspections and documentation are planned for and accomplished, and that all project conformity records have been submitted for reviewal and approval once a month during the staff meeting.
- Coordinates certification activities with his peer position in PTC and share best practices.




- Actively work with the Cuautitlan Quality team to ensure conformity inspections and documentation are planned for and accomplished, and that all project conformity records have been submitted for reviewal and approval.
- Identify and resolve any compliance or certification-related issues, working closely with engineering, customs and marketing teams to implement necessary changes.
- Stay up to date with the latest NOM standards versions related to electrical-electronic systems and resale components.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to certification requirements throughout the product development lifecycle.
**Qualifications**:
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**:
- Engineering bachelor's degree
- English: Conversational advanced
- NOM Standards knowledge
- Knowledge in certification process: ANCE, UL, CSA
