A Junior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining Oracle database systems. The primary responsibilities and duties of a Junior Oracle DBA may include the following:
- Database Installation and Configuration:
- Assist in the installation and configuration of Oracle database software.
- Set up and configure database instances.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as database backups and recovery.
- Monitor database performance and tune accordingly.
- Create and manage database user accounts.
- Assign appropriate roles and privileges to users.
- Ensure security policies are enforced.
- Manage database storage structures and allocate system storage.




- Monitor and optimize database performance.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
- Test and validate backup and recovery processes.
- Investigate and resolve database-related issues.
- Provide support for database-related incidents and outages.
- Optimize SQL queries and database configurations for better performance.
