**Position Summary**: The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for driving operational excellence and discipline across the organization, ensuring efficient, effective, and scalable business processes. The COO will lead the operations division in alignment with the company’s strategic goals, collaborating closely with the executive team to support the company's growth, innovation, and profitability. This role requires a strong focus on leadership, process optimization, financial stewardship, and continuous improvement across multiple operational functions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Strategic Leadership**:
- Establish, communicate, and implement the strategic direction for the operations division. Align operational activities with the company’s long-term vision and goals, ensuring scalability and adaptability to changing business conditions.
- ** Collaboration with Executive Leadership**:
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute company-wide strategies. Provide thought leadership, operational insights, and tactical guidance on key projects, systems implementation, and overall business transformation efforts.
- ** Cross-Departmental Collaboration**:
- Foster strong partnerships with other divisions (such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, and HR) to create synergies that support organizational goals. Ensure consistent and open communication between groups for the seamless execution of shared objectives.
- ** Operational Efficiency & Innovation**:
- Identify, recommend, and implement innovative processes, technologies, and systems that improve organizational efficiency, productivity, and resource utilization. Promote continuous improvement initiatives to drive cost efficiency, quality enhancement, and streamlined workflows.




- ** Resource Management**:
- Ensure operational decisions and project plans related to staffing, organizational development, material efficiency, technology acquisition, and facilities management are aligned with the organization’s business plan and long-term vision.
- ** Policy & Procedure Development**:
- Establish and maintain robust operations-related policies, standards, and security measures that ensure consistency, compliance, and risk mitigation across operational activities.
- ** Budget & Financial Oversight**:
- Lead the development, approval, and management of departmental budgets, ensuring responsible financial planning and execution. Monitor cost-control initiatives and approve cost estimates and staffing requirements to achieve project and organizational goals.
- ** Performance Reporting & Metrics**:
- Present regular performance reports and key metrics to the CEO and executive leadership team. Utilize data-driven insights to assess operational efficiency, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- ** Technology & Innovation Awareness**:
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in operations management. Lead the organization in adopting relevant innovations that enhance competitiveness and operational capabilities.
- ** Talent Development & Training**:




- Identify and address training and development needs within the operations team. Ensure that appropriate training programs are in place to build competencies, improve performance, and prepare staff for future leadership roles.
- ** Risk Management**:
- Proactively identify potential risks to operations and collaborate with executive leadership to mitigate these risks while ensuring business continuity.
- ** Cultural Leadership**:
- Build and maintain a high-performance, values-driven culture within the operations division. Champion the organization’s core values and promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
**Education & Experience**:
- Four (4) year degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing or similarly related area of study
- At least ten (10) years of industry-related experience including three-years in an upper management role.
- Profound knowledge of logistics, supply chain, transportation, and warehousing.
- Superior supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**:
This role provides direct supervision for one or more staff members.

- This role requires the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- The ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is preferred, but not required.
