**OVERVIEW**
Working as Fastenal Mexico’s Compliance Specialist you will be a strategic link between Fastenal's Global Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Development, Customers, and Sales Teams. Your main responsibility will be leading and collaborating with the groups supporting product and supplier compliance needs relative to regulatory and/or customer demands. This individual will report to the Supply Chain Compliance team while helping continue research, create solutions, and enforce compliance throughout Mexico and Latin American supply chain areas. Some key areas supported by this team include: Supply Chain Governance,, Chemical Inventory demands, Country of Origin, Shelf Life, NOM Labeling compliance with suppliers, Shipping & Border Restrictions and Maintenance.
**RESPONSABILITIES**
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Work with suppliers and 3rd party resources for product data and compliance
- Supporting and evolving interdepartmental correspondence
- Enforcing company policy with regards to supply chain compliance
- Researching regulations and the applicability to Fastenal Mexico
- Writing business impact statements, white papers, and presenting solutions
- Maintain regular communication with Sales, Operations, and Support leadership & teams
- Problem solving and project management
- Manage data and reporting
- Work with government to obain permits
- Using PeopleSoft, Internet, Smart Sheet and Microsoft Office Suite regularly (Powe Bi).
**REQUIRED POSTION QUALIFICATIONS**
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Possess a current full valid driver's license
- Possess at least 1 year of compliance work experience OR relevant field of study
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (English & Spanish)
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Smart Sheets and Power Bi
- Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel (averaging 1-4 trips/year including US and potential for international locations)

- Ability to speak fluent Spanish & English
- Possess a valid United States Visa
**PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
- Prior experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Compliance, or Product Development
- Smart Sheet License (preemptively), Power Bi experience (preemptively)
- Strong data analytical
