**Job Summary**
**Position Overview**:
In general, a compliance specialist plans and coordinates the operational activities of the company and organization to guarantee compliance with governmental regulations and ordinances. The position also develops risk management strategies as it relates to vendor risk.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Handle Vendor Management tickets, as necessary.
- Manage ongoing day to day due diligence to ensure vendor and title/escrow company are compliant with company’s policy.
- Communicate and work with vendors, title/escrow companies and other business units to ensure timeliness of new or continual approvals of vendors and title/escrow companies.
- Ensure all required documentation is retained and reviewed to ensure compliance with vendor vetting and ongoing due diligence process.
- Ensure all internal and third-party software alerts and/or notifications are handled in a timely manner.




- Develops collaborative working relationships with business units and vendors.
- Prepare and file annual HMDA report as required.
- Completes HMDA data for quarterly review and reporting.
- Identify systematic or operational issues concerning HMDA data integrity.
- Assist with updating HMDA procedures as required.
- Assists with compliance employee training program, as necessary.
- Assists management with Fair Lending Monitoring.
- Keeps abreast of existing, new and pending laws and regulations impacting the mortgage industry.
- Completes other compliance tasks and/or projects as assigned by management.
- Able to comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the Company Handbook
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Education/Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, or Finance preferred or
3 + years of relevant experience in mortgage compliance or mortgage operations
- Ability to deliver effective results.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with mínimal supervision.
