**Job Posting: International Trade & Energy Law Attorney (China-Mexico Focus)**
**Position**: International Trade & Energy Law Attorney
**Work Type**: Professional Services Contract (Freelance Basis)
**Salary**: Starting at **3,000 USD per month** (negotiable based on experience).
**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Advise on international trade compliance, including export/import processes from **China to Mexican ports** (Manzanillo, Mazatlán, Lázaro Cárdenas).
- Manage customs procedures, tariffs, and regulatory requirements in **both China and Mexico**.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts**:NDAs, Joint Ventures, MOUs, LOIs, Joint Proposals, Supply Agreements**, and more.
- Provide legal guidance on **energy sector contracts**, including international energy projects and compliance with Mexico’s Wholesale Energy Market regulations.
- Represent clients in negotiations with **Mexican government entities** for energy sector participation.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws (e.g., INCOTERMS, sanctions, export controls).
- Resolve cross-border disputes and mitigate legal risks.
**Requirements**:
- Law degree with active license to practice (Mexico or internationally).
- **Minimum 5 years of experience** in international trade law, with a focus on **China-Mexico trade routes** and customs processes.
- Proven track record in drafting and reviewing **commercial contracts** (NDAs, MOUs, LOIs, Joint Ventures) and **energy-related agreements**.
- Expertise in Mexico’s energy legislation, including experience with **government contracts** for the Wholesale Energy Market.
- Familiarity with Mexican customs law and China’s export regulations.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- **Preferred**: Proficiency in Spanish and/or Mandarin.
