We are hiring a **Sr. SWS Interior Designer Account Lead** toAs an SWS Senior Interior Designer, you will lead the design process and standards development for Steelcase’s largest accounts, from early concept through installation. You’ll use your deep product knowledge and understanding of client needs to craft strategic, tailored proposals. You’ll collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver exceptional client experiences. Additionally, you’ll support project execution through training, documentation, and mentoring.
**What You Will Be Doing**:
- Lead design development and strategic product selection for Steelcase’s largest accounts, ensuring solutions that meet client needs and support business growth.
- Influence business decisions through design proposals aligned with customer requirements and implementation strategies.
- Contribute innovative solutions to unprecedented challenges, identifying risks, planning resources, and anticipating client needs.
- Serve as lead designer on high-priority projects with mínimal supervision, providing direction in complex design scenarios for key accounts.
- Manage multiple large-scale projects while collaborating with internal cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, Studio B, sales) and external stakeholders (clients, A&D; firms, dealers, etc.).
- Create design documentation, deliverables, and training materials to guide dealers and Steelcase partners in successful project execution.Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members across projects and processes.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or Industrial Design, providing a strong foundation in spatial planning and design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to develop and communicate technical drawings and design intent effectively.
- 6-9 years of professional experience as a designer, ideally in roles involving complex projects and strategic design input.
- Experience in customer-facing roles, demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to understand and respond to client needs.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously,



balancing priorities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
