Production Engineering Manager
**Your role and responsibilities (mandatory)**
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Electrification Division in **Americas.**
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Update process documentation to ensure alignment with current production standards.
- Maintain and control production logbooks and records.
- Support the implementation of manufacturing changes on the production floor.
- Follow up on continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of efficiency and performance reports.




**Qualifications for the role (mandatory)**
- You have knowledge of **Lean Manufacturing** and **Six Sigma** principles, and you are comfortable using **CAD tools** such as **SolidWorks** and **AutoCAD** to support production-related tasks.
- You are eager to learn about **sheet metal manufacturing processes**, **production line optimization**, and to take part in **continuous improvement initiatives** within the **electrical equipment** and **switchboard assembly** industry.
- You have academic experience, school projects, or previous internships related to **manufacturing processes**, **process standardization**, or **production support**.
- You are interested in developing your skills with **Lean tools**. You are passionate about **problem-solving**, enjoy working in **cross-functional teams**, and are motivated to contribute to the **optimization of production processes and equipment efficiency on the shop floor**.
- You are currently studying a **degree in Materials, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering**, or a related field, with a strong interest in **manufacturing engineering and industrial operations**.
- You are fluent in **English and Spanish**, both written and spoken.
