The Quality engineer (QE) is responsible for supervision and documentation of the quality management work according
systems, training, and quality inspection protocol to meet quality and safety goals
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Education: Quality engineer, Civil Engineer, Industrial engineer or related. Master degree is prefered.
- Proficient in ISO quality system, quality management related laws and regulations and quality acceptance specifications in rail transit or engineering and construction projects; Familiar with the use of AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office and other common office software.
- At least 5 years of experience in management of quality and safety regulations of rail transit industry, engineering projects or construction industry.
- Strong learning ability and self-motivation, good coordination and communication skills, sense of innovation and problem solving.
- Preferably understanding the relevant specifications of construction or locomotive industry quality standards, and is familiar with the relevant laws and regulations, management regulations and equipment quality acceptance specifications of on-site quality management.
- Strong reading and analysis skills. F
- Fluent Spanish and English.
**Key Responsibilities**:




- Develop a quality management system: Based on contractual information regarding customer´s requirements, formulate a quality management assurance system and implement project installation quality protocols within the parties involved. As well as to design the quality management system for the whole project.
- Implementation of quality control training and communication: Design a quality training plan for the parties related to the project: new employees, current employees, contractors, government agencies, etc. As well as,
- creating a quality control communication campaign to reinforce such practices.
- Conduct quality inspection checks: Supervise daily quality inspection work of the department as well as the overall inspection of the equipment and behavior of the workers involved in the installation site. This role is also responsible for the follow up of quality issues documented along the project.
- Coordination of quality control activities: Overall coordination the quality control management of third parties involved such as construction contractors, supervision parties, suppliers and government entities.
