**Role Summary**
The Project Director provides overall technical and managerial leadership for a large, donor-funded project designed to reduce wage suppression and unfair labor practices in key trade sectors in Mexico. The Project Director ensures strategic direction, day-to-day management, and successful delivery of all results in compliance with U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead overall project strategy, work planning, budgeting, and performance management to meet the FOA-defined objectives.
- Oversee preparation and submission of all deliverables, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with USDOL and USMCA requirements.




- Manage stakeholder and risk management processes, cost and schedule controls, and sustainability planning and implementation.
- Maintain strong working relationships with government counterparts, private sector leaders, worker organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure ownership and sustainability of outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor project staff and partners; foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Seven (7)+ years of professional experience in project management for U.S. government or other donor-funded projects of comparable complexity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Mexico’s 2019 labor reform, the USMCA, and current labor relations.
- Proven success establishing and managing systems for project operations and reporting.
- Strong facilitation, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English, oral and written.
