The American School Foundation, A.C. is seeking aTennis coachto join our Athletics and Extended Learning Division.
This role is dedicated to nurturing both the character and athletic abilities of our student-athletes across various levels, from Lower School through graduation of Upper School.
Responsibilities may include leading or assisting groups at both recreational and competitive levels.

One who will prioritize fundamentals, yet understand the importance of increasing competitiveness as the athletes' ages and skill levels progress.
Strong leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with a professional team of colleagues, and a commitment to both team success and long-term student-athlete development are essential.Key Responsibilities:In collaboration with Athletics and Extended Learning administration:Plan, organize, and conduct regular team practices focusing on skill development, strategy, and conditioningDevelop and implement effective plans and strategies for competitionProvide individual and team instruction, guiding athletes to improve their performance and understanding of the sportFoster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes, promoting a balance between academics and athleticsEvaluate and recruit potential student-athletes, ensuring the continued success and competitiveness of the teamCollaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate training programs, schedules,
and resourcesEnsure the safety and well-being of all team members during practices, competitions, and other team activitiesCommunicate effectively with parents, school staff, and the broader school community regarding team activities and performanceAdhere to all school and division policies and regulations, as well as the guidelines of relevant sports associations and leaguesParticipate in professional development opportunities to stay current with coaching techniques and best practicesUtilizes technology, data and statistics to improve coaching practices and team performanceEngages with the broader school community and involves the team in community activitiesDemonstrates emotional intelligence and effectively resolves conflicts within the team and with colleaguesEducation:Bachelor's degree in a sport-related field, such as Physical Education (preferred)Relevant coaching certifications (preferred)CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)Fluent level conversational English (preferred)Schedule:Monday-Thursday = 2:30-6:30 PM; Fridays = 2:30-4:45 PM***** weekly hours + any and all competitions/meetings/ceremonies/professional development or division functionsContract dates: From August 10, **** to May 28, ****Skills:Proven experience in the desired field of coaching or in a similar coaching roleDeep understanding of the specific sport and its rules, strategies, and techniquesStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to inspire and motivate student-athletes to reach their full potentialExperience conducting team practices, developing game plans, and managing competitionsCollegiate or professional athlete experience (preferred)
