Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer will **support** the planning, configuration, and modification of manufacturing processes, **assisting** in daily operational supervision and **contributing** to the maintenance of production standards within our industrial facilities.
Activities
- Process Ownership: Execute and maintain manufacturing safety, quality, and delivery standards within assigned production cells. Identify waste (muda) and propose actionable solutions to the Level 2 Engineer to improve the value stream.
- Operational Reliability: Ensure the functionality of error-proofing (poka-yoke) devices and fixtures. Coordinate routine tooling repairs and replenishment, resolving basic manufacturability issues independently before escalating to senior staff.
- Technical Documentation: Author and update process flows, PFMEAs, and standard operating instructions (SOPs). Analyze line balancing and workflows to provide data-driven recommendations for eliminating downtime.
- Continuous Improvement Execution: Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tasks as part of larger department strategies. Draft engineering change documentation (ECN) and provide technical support for cost estimation.
- Problem Solving: Lead the initial root-cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys) for downtime or scrap issues in equipment and tooling. Initiate immediate containment actions to prevent non-conformities in products or processes.Project Support: Manage assigned portions of capital projects, such as equipment installation or supplier follow-ups,
ensuring deadlines and technical specs are met under general supervision.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related field).
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in manufacturing processes.
- Integrated Management Systems: Foundational knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Technical Software: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or SolidWorks) for layout modifications and advanced MS Office (specifically Excel for data analysis and reporting).
- Core Tools: Familiarity with the development and maintenance of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify floor-level deviations and propose data-driven solutions to stabilize processes.
- Sense of Urgency: Capacity to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment governed by strict deadlines and production targets.
- Assertive Communication: Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from internal customers and external stakeholders.
- Proactivity & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to independently develop and implement solutions for routine issues before escalating to the next hierarchical level.
- Language: Ability to conduct technical conversations and prepare documentation in English.
- Preferred Qualifications (Desirable)
- Lean Methodologies: Lean Manufacturing knowledge or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Industry Expertise: Specific experience in the electrical sector
