Design, Develop, Release and Launch seat systems or components through GPDS (PRE-PSC to J1)
Manage Quality, Weight, Cost, and Timing (QWCT) for assigned parts
Attend program-related meetings, including To4, Seat complete, EMMs, TDRMs, supplier meetings, and purchasing meetings
Develop and execute seat system/component-level Design Verification Plans, support vehicle/system-level DVP, and ensure compliance with System Design Specifications (SDS) and Federal Regulations, including unique Export Market Requirements
Create and maintain a timing/Gantt chart (PDP) for assigned parts and projects
Maintain prevent-recurrence actions, lessons learned, and required design rules, and cascade them to the Core team
Coordinate with Seat Complete, Seat Structure, Seat Features, Studio, Safety, Craftsmanship, VO, PVT, Supplier, Tool shop, Purchasing, Finance, and Program teams to ensure design intent meets all requirements
Lead integration of seating components into the seat system
Guide vehicle-seat development from basic concept through industrialization and integration into the complete vehicle
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
MS Office expertise, including Project
Proficient English in reading, listening, and writing
Excellent Spanish/English communication skills
Seat system or component-parts design and manufacturing knowledge/experience
Product development and parts verification/validation experience
Knowledge of FEDE, ADS, FSMS, GPDS, E2KS, and WERS systems
FMEA knowledge and experience
Ability to read and conceptualize 2D and 3D engineering drawings, including GD&T;
Basic knowledge of Teamcenter, Tc VisMockup, and CATIA
Excellent graphical communication skills, including sketching
Ability to explain complex engineering concepts to Studio, Program, and other areas
Structured problem-solving and thinking
Proactive and disciplined approach
Strong networking and relationship-building ability
Ability to negotiate with other areas
Methodical approach with ability to quickly analyze and make decisions
Innovative and resilient in the face of adversity
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to Dearborn, supplier sites, and Ford assembly plants
