**About us**
We are a C-TPAT certified FTL trucking company operating the Mexico-USA corridor through Laredo, with a Mexican SA de CV and U.S. entities. We run operations in both MXN and USD, with ~40 employees on Mexican payroll. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to fully own the accounting function at our Apodaca office — this is a hands-on, full-charge role: you run the books, you don't supervise someone who does.
**What you'll own**
- Full monthly close, end to end: account reconciliations, cleanup, provisions, closing entries, and financial statements — independently, not under supervision
- Weekly payroll: calculation, stamping (CFDI de nómina), and dispersion
- IMSS and INFONAVIT compliance: IDSE, SUA, and bimonthly filings (SIPARE), including employee credit withholdings
- SAT tax compliance and monthly filings
- Accounts payable: supplier balances, payment scheduling, and reconciliation
- Intercompany reconciliation between Mexican and U.S. entities
- Reconciliation and monthly reporting of factoring costs on U.S. books (QuickBooks)
**Must-haves**
- Accounting degree (Contador Público, titulado)
- Proven experience running the complete monthly close on your own — you were the one closing, not assisting the person who closed
- Direct, hands-on experience calculating and stamping payroll and filing IDSE/SUA yourself




- Working knowledge of INFONAVIT employer obligations: credit withholdings and bimonthly payments
- Job stability: at least one role held 3+ years; average tenure of 1+ year over the last 5 years
- Solid command of payroll tax treatment (e.g., exempt/taxable split on vacation premium)
- Functional English: able to read accounting reports and account statements in English (QuickBooks) — assessed during the process
**Nice-to-haves**
- Experience in transportation/logistics or foreign trade
- USD operations and FX fluctuation accounting
- CONTPAQi or Aspel (our systems); QuickBooks a plus
- Based in Apodaca or nearby
**Compensation**
MXN $28,000 - $30,000 gross monthly + quarterly performance bonus tied to verifiable results (withholding accuracy, on-time close, zero penalties).
