SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The General Superintendent for Megawatt Construction will have the ability to be an expert in all aspects of construction, with a deep specialization in data-hall fit outs. They are highly competent in base building concrete, building shell, interior CSA, MEP systems, commissioning, and project closeout within mission-critical environments. They are mentors to project team members and actively work to build high-performing teams through both individual development and recruiting new talent. They oversee the schedules of multiple projects and manage teams to ensure data center projects are completed on time, within strict operational and uptime requirements.

The General

Superintendent is capable of overseeing multiple large-scale, fast-track data center fit-out projects simultaneously. They work closely with the safety committee to establish policies and ensure flawless execution in high-risk, high-availability environments.

DAILY GOALS:

- Networks with potential clients in the data center and mission-critical sector.
- Actively pursues new data-hall fit-out opportunities.
- Responds to RFPs and develops detailed schedule/logistics plans tailored to live or near-live environments.
- Mentors Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents.
- Walks projects daily with a focus on quality, sequencing, and uptime protection.
- Conducts regular site safety walks with emphasis on energized systems and critical infrastructure.
- Reviews project schedules in weekly update meetings.
- Manages primary and secondary projects on a day-to-day basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Able to oversee multiple large-scale data center and data-hall fit-out projects simultaneously.
- Fully understands both CSA and MEP aspects of base build and mission-critical fit-out construction.
- Extensive background in data centers, mission-critical environments,



and fast-track interiors.
- Serves as a mentor to Superintendents, Foremen, and Assistant Superintendents.
- Provides structured training and development for field leadership.
- Understands the pros and cons of different construction and cooling systems (air-cooled vs. liquid-cooled, containment strategies, redundancy models, etc.) and can speak from experience.
- Manages the timely and precise closeout of projects, including commissioning and turnover documentation.
- Works closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for clients and ensures satisfaction in high-stakes, uptime-sensitive environments.
- Collaborates with architects, engineers, and commissioning agents to ensure high-quality installations and system performance.
- Leads and drives the Design-Build phase for data center projects.
- Actively develops business leads within the data center and mission-critical market.
- Maintains engagement in the broader construction and data center industry.
- Builds, leads, and manages project teams with maturity and strong leadership presence; addresses HR issues and fosters an open environment.
- Is approachable, listens actively, and supports team members.
