Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through process optimization, continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and technical problem-solving. The role serves as a key liaison between Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Product Engineering to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes while meeting quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide daily engineering support to manufacturing operations and production lines.
- Analyze production processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, capacity, and product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, BOMs, routings, PFMEAs, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through process improvements, tooling enhancements, and equipment optimization.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities, ensuring successful ramp-up and production readiness.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
- Design, develop,



and validate manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and production equipment.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and EHS teams to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and ergonomic compliance.
- Support training and development of production personnel on manufacturing processes and best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with process validation, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar.
