Primary Responsibilities

- Process & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to the ARM’D Process (Aon Risk’s Method of Delivery) and best practices for KPIs and CPIs.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date information in Azure DevOps (ADO), including dashboards, user stories, tasks, and remaining work.
- Align team practices with Aon Reinsurance’s agile methodology and external requirements (e.g., SOX reporting).

- Facilitation & Coaching

- Attend and facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives).
- Keep the team on task and coach them on Scrum best practices.
- Mentor the Product Owner and Development Team on their roles and responsibilities.
- Foster an agile mindset and guide the team toward higher Scrum maturity.

- Team Enablement

- Act as a servant leader—empowering and supporting the team rather than using command-and-control approaches.
- Shield the team from external interference and distractions.
- Promote collaboration, communication, and relationship-building within the team.

- Delivery & Metrics

- Estimate team velocity and determine capacity for planning.
- Ensure healthy sprint commitments (<20% variance) and apply INVEST criteria for user stories.
- Monitor sprint health and product progress using ADO dashboards.

- Change Leadership

- Act as an organizational change agent,



driving continuous improvement and agile adoption.

Success Metrics

- Process Compliance: ✔ 100% adherence to ARM’D process and SOX requirements

✔ ADO dashboards utilized very regularly, data kept up to date

- Agile Maturity: ✔ Team maturity improves (measured via Agile maturity assessments)

✔ Retrospectives produce actionable improvements

- Delivery Performance: ✔ Sprint commitment variance consistently <20%

✔ Velocity trend stable or improving over 4 consecutive sprints

✔ <10% of user stories fail INVEST criteria

- Team Health: ✔ Positive team satisfaction scored and high engagement

- Continuous Improvement: ✔ At least one team improvement initiative implemented per quarter

✔ Positive stakeholder/team feedback on agile adoption progress

Candidate should have
- Minimum 4 years experience as a Scrum Master
- Experience working within an Agile environment with distributed teams running a Scrum methodology, as well as an understanding of traditional project management and general Agile methodologies.
- Collaboration skills to work with general partners
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with continuous delivery
