Job Description:

The Construction Lead will be responsible for providing technical leadership for all assigned construction projects, addressing daily inquiries, closely supporting the team in tracking construction progress against actual execution, and acting as a liaison between the Projects and Construction area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership

- Coordinate meetings with the project team to provide feedback regarding any necessary pre-construction adjustments.
- Coordinate and supervise vendors, such as general contractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Responsible for the warehouse inventory of construction supplies, such as light fixtures, locks, lockers, signage, etc.
- Reviewing H&S; reports for each construction site, as well as keeping the respective bonds for each project up to date.
- Coordination for building permits.
- Oversee the resolution of observations identified during site walkthroughs, such as the 50%, 80% walk, punch list, and NSO.
- Coordination of material procurement based on usage during construction.

People and Vendors Development
- Train and envelope the existing and new vendors, in order to ensure good practices.
- Responsible for signing NDA's with new suppliers
- Responsible for supervising the quality of work performed by new suppliers.

Project Planning

Warehouse Management - Construction

- Coordinate the inventory of lighting fixtures, tracks, flooring, engineered wood flooring, and other construction materials for the stores. o Ensure the consolidation and timely delivery of materials to the construction site.
- Oversee the warehouse administrator and the transportation of materials.

Construction Project Coordination

- Review the Construction Drawings (CDs) to identify any discrepancies or issues.




- Assist in pre-construction meetings by preparing kickoff presentations and taking meeting minutes.
- Support in the bidding process for construction scopes such as signage, flooring and general contractors.
- Ensure efficient communication among all parties involved throughout the construction process.

KPI Accountability:
- Supply construction material according to the construction schedule.
- Follow-up on the rectification of observations in work execution records.
- Adhere to construction schedules
- Compliance with quality standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years' experience in retail, hotel or restaurant chains.
- Knowledge of architectural and engineering design processes.
- Criteria of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp, and basic knowledge of BIM.
- Proactive individual with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
- Travel is required, at least 50% of time.
