Description
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team at NOV Shared Services Mexico. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting multiple business entities across North America, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of general accounting activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX compliance, all while working closely with our Accounting Managers and Controllers. Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address any discrepancies.
- Participate in month-end close activities, ensuring timely completion.
- Assist with SOX testing and maintain compliant documentation.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary financial information.
- Work collaboratively with Accounting Managers and Controllers to resolve accounting issues.




- Maintain a strong understanding of accounting principles and corporate policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Provide financial analysis and information to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience in General Ledger Accounting and month-end close activities.
- Proficiency in preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle, JDE, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls is preferred.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to work, with excellent communication skills.
