You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.Battery Pack Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineering is a cross‑functional team having the primary responsibility to procure equipment and launch assembly processes for battery packs used in the electric vehicles at plants across North America and Mexico.#FordMexicoResponsibilitiesThis position requires traveling to the USA approximately 70% of the timeThe Battery Pack Assembly Manufacturing Process Engineer candidate will be a part of this team and be responsible for the following:Work with team to design, run off, install, and launch high volume battery packsProvide manufacturing input to product designSupport assembly station, transport, and test equipment design & procurementSimultaneous Engineering - Digital Job 1 (Virtual Validation)Support costs study submissions as requiredReview lessons learned and incorporate into process developmentDevelop PFMEA’s and work with PD to complete SCCAF’sFollow MPS and ensure PD is following specified MDSCycle Line Layout/Facilities LayoutDevelop statement of work for initial POs for Design and BuildSupport/write POsSupport MIDAS deliverables for equipment validationEnsure OEMs are providing quality SOW for installation. Support equipment planning and installationLead and support builds through ROC.



Lead and support issue resolution from builds PDCADocumented standardized workinstructionsCollaborate with all levels of personnel, for the duration of a programExtensive travel within North America will be required.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical EngineeringUnderstanding/experience of overall manufacturing processes (Battery preferred) and manufacturing business acumen.Minimum 2+ years on major projects.Experience implementing large scale projects as a Manufacturing Engineer or Project Manager on new specialized manufacturing lines.Familiarity with simulation tools, digital methods: AutoCAD / Siemens PLM etc. developing layouts in AutoCADExemplary verbal and written communication skillsTravel and mobility with short term relocation / ability to work remote is keyPreferred Qualifications:Launch experience in battery assembly.Mechanical design stack up understanding.Strong understanding of assembly systemsStrong written and oral communication skillsValidated project management skillsScope of work development proficiencyPFMEA/FMEA/Risk Assessment proficiencyProficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), AutoCAD, Teamcenter, Aurora#FordMexico#LI-HC1About UsAt Ford Motor Company, we believe freedom of movement drives human progress.
