**British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist in Monterrey**
**Your key responsibilities will include**:
- Support 1 to 3 projects at a given time, ensuring timely delivery and quality of outputs.
- Develop and optimize advanced analytics models using Python and SQL in Databricks and Azure environments.
- Document processes, standards, and outputs to ensure reproducibility, compliance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on requirements, validate outcomes, and ensure adoption of solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and governance compliance of all deployed models.
- Buddy with junior team members to help them ramp-up into the organization and develop their technical and analytical skills.
**What are we looking for?
**
- Graduate in Engineering / Statistics / Economics / Maths / Analytics
- 2-3 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Databricks, Azure, and Git for code management
- Solid knowledge of mathematics, linear algebra, and statistics
- Experience deploying and maintaining models in production environments
- Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills to communicate insights clearly
- Ability to deliver in a dynamic environment as part of a global multi-functional project team while securing support from other parts of the organization diplomatically
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality
