The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for identifying the failure mode of warranties, testing and diagnosing products, monitoring product behavior, writing and sharing reports, drawing conclusions on occurred failures and making recommendations.General ResponsibilitiesParticipates in the evaluation of the electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems and/or integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine the cause of failure, including the verification of analog and digital performanceAssists with analyzing failure reports and recommends corrective action.
Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failuresParticipates in product returns and Conduct product failure analysisMeet and exceed internal and external Service Level AgreementsMaintain daily productivity / workflow reportsMaintain, review and update process documentation on a regular basisParticipates in reviewing current processes on a regular basis and implement new processes as requiredAbility to read blueprints, specifications and engineering changesAbility to interact with employees at all levelsExperience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.E. Bachelors degree)
