We are seeking an experienced Ingredient Sourcing Specialist to join our remote team and support food product development, R&D;, and commercial production initiatives for a US-based client.This role is responsible for identifying and sourcing food ingredients, dairy components, additives, stabilizers, packaging materials, and other raw materials from qualified domestic and international suppliers.
The adecuado candidate is highly resourceful, detail-oriented, and experienced in supplier research, procurement, and ingredient sourcing within the food manufacturing industry.Key Responsibilities:Source food ingredients, raw materials, and specialty components for product development and commercial productionResearch and identify ingredient manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers worldwideObtain pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), ingredient specifications, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and technical documentationSource dairy ingredients, sweeteners, starches, gums, flavorings, fruit preparations, and other functional food ingredientsCoordinate ingredient sample requests for R&D; and product testingCompare suppliers based on quality, certifications, pricing,



and availabilityAssist with ingredient substitutions and alternative sourcing solutionsMaintain supplier databases and sourcing recordsSupport procurement of packaging materials and related product componentsBuild and maintain relationships with ingredient manufacturers, distributors, and brokersMonitor ingredient availability, market trends, and pricing2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, preferably within the food industryExperience sourcing food ingredients, raw materials, or specialty food componentsStrong online research and supplier sourcing skillsExcellent negotiation and vendor communication abilitiesAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google SheetsAbility to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughExcellent written and spoken English communication skills (CEFR C1 or equivalent)Preferred Qualifications:Experience in food ingredient sourcing or procurementBackground in food manufacturing, food science, dairy, bakery, confectionery, or beverage industriesExperience working with suppliers such as Ingredion, Tate & Lyle, Cargill, ADM, IFF, Kerry, or similar ingredient manufacturersUnderstanding of food ingredient specifications, technical data sheets, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs)Familiarity with FDA-regulated food products and food safety documentation
