Amazon Mexico is seeking a full-time Safety Specialist to serve as a designated safety representative for Amazon Logistics, coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Integral Safety Program as directed by the safety leadership.
The Safety Specialist promotes a positive safety culture while complying with Amazon safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment.
This includes conducting trainings and coaching associates on observed work habits.The Safety Specialist is required to maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to regional management teams and corporate based reporting systems.
The Safety Specialist supports management's efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate Safety Program expectations and applicable federal & state laws.
The Safety Specialist also conducts risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.
In addition, the Safety Specialist is responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- 2+ years of workplace health & safety (WHS) related field experience- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR ****- Experience using Microsoft Word in a professional capacity- Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security or personnel issues in the workplace- STPS regulation, IMSS following and other governmental dependences in MX- Experience in emergency response- Experience in worker's compensation case managementOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
