Senior Mechanical Engineer – Product Design & Sustaining
Our client, a general manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of advanced mechanical and electro‐mechanical products within an innovative, cross‐functional engineering environment.
This role will be responsible for mechanical design activities across both New Product Introduction (NPI) and sustaining engineering projects, ensuring product performance, quality, manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and schedule alignment. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will serve as a key technical contributor, supporting engineering changes, design reviews, product documentation, validation activities, and collaboration with global teams, suppliers, and manufacturing sites.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands‐on experience in mechanical product design, SolidWorks, GD&T;, ECR/ECO processes, electro‐mechanical assemblies, and structured engineering documentation.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, or a related field.
Six Sigma and/or PMP certification is a plus.
15+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, product design, sustaining engineering, or related technical roles.
~ Strong proficiency with SolidWorks for part design, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
~ Proven experience supporting mechanical products across the full product lifecycle, including NPI and sustaining projects.
~ Hands‐on experience managing Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
