Insulet is looking for a self‐motivatedSoftware Test Engineerto be part of the testing (manual and automation) efforts related to product development and product modifications for the Research and Development group.
The role assists in the software quality assurance efforts for new product development and product modifications, ensuring that new products are effectively and efficiently verified and validated before release and that they meet documented and implied user needs and requirements.
Software quality assurance is lifecycle‐oriented, beginning during product requirements development and continuing throughout the product lifetime.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain test database for automated validation tests of software revisions.
Creating and executing test plans, manual and automated test cases and generating test reports.
Creating use cases and identifying gaps in use cases/test cases.
Develop and execute test suite for i OS mobile application.
Influence the definition of requirements and software design to maximize testability.
Develop and extend test cases (protocols) and plans as software application features evolve.




Build test frameworks and methodologies that define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.
Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
Collaborate with Development, QA and IT teams.
Participate in product design reviews.
Perform other duties as required.
Education and ExperienceBS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field preferred.
2+ years hands‐on experience in testing preferred.
Skills and CompetenciesIn depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution required.
Strong software skills including C, C++, Java, Python, Swift or Test NG.
Software test group experience.
Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing methods (e.g., Git, Perforce).
Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
Familiarity with IEC *****, ISO *****, FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification and validation a plus.
NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on‐site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week.
