**BAT MEXICO IS LOOKING FOR A FORECASTING INSIGHTS EXECUTIVE**
**SENIORITY LEVEL**:Junior Manager

**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**
**Reports to**:GBS Sr. Manager SOP Support - Polaris
**Reporting Level**:DBS Mexico
**Geographic Scope**:US - RAI
**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Polaris: Multi-category Machine Learning Forecasting Model / Tool:
- Support the system input management ensuring accurate and timely inputs.
- Ownership of assigned sales area forecast and associated drivers end to end through top line engagement with forecast and planning team to bottom line and engagement with sales managers.
- Full feedback loop with trade to understand market dynamics and driven activity to explain forecast variances.
- Develop, implement & maintain important metric dashboards for State Level performance vs forecast with in sales area.
- Analyse variances between the forecast inputs and assumptions vs actuals
- Provide insights into the gaps in performance and tie those back to input variances when appropriate.
- Stay abreast of pricing and marketing initiatives in their assigned geographies.
- Support the Performance Team in crafting communications to socialize findings.
- Extract relevant information from systems such as MicroStrategy and Gateway 360
- Perform ad-hoc queries related to any performance gaps or analysis required by the business.
- Sales & Operations Planning:
- Support meeting material development & standardisation.
- Ensure accuracy in reporting and material development through cross-referencing multiple sources and engaging with Forecasting, Performance, and other teams.
- Develop sophisticated understanding of company data and data environments, focusing primarily on key commercial metrics (sales volumes and market share) found in MicroStrategy.
- Generate data cubes in MicroStrategy to support the SOP cycle analysis.
- Generate business intelligence tools to improve the ongoing material and analysis generated during the cycle.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support forecasting team.
- Ensure a cohesive story between different data bases and data sources across areas (MSTR, BPC, Kinaxis)

- Are you a meticulous person that provides crucial information for leadership decision-making?
- Do you have experience with large amounts of data and applied a business intelligence tool (front or back end)?
- Have you worked in a role that involves holding team members or cross-functional partners accountable for action points?
**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**
- 2-4 years of work experience in domain, senior partner management and project management in a large-scale organisation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, Data Science, or related area.
- Use of Data Visualization Tools (Power BI)
- Experience with Data Analysis tools like MicroStrategy, RedShift, SQL, Python, R or others.
- Strong skills in MS Excel
- Hands-on experience in finance models and reporting tools.
- Good commercial awareness and strong understanding of domain along with BAT strategy and business model.
- Appreciation of the value of detail and accuracy.
- High sense of urgency, work ethic, and flexibility.
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and work under mínimal direction; must be a self-starter.
- Capacity for innovation, strong problem-solving skills, unafraid to challenge the status quo as vital.
- Strong communication skills to connect with senior and other levels of staff in all departments and companies both within the Group and externally.
- Writing, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills to a high standard and in proficient English (the working language).
- Highly numerate to make decisions and judgements and work in a changing environment generating innovative ideas and creative solutions.
**BENEFICIAL**
- Programming skills Python, SQL, R or Stata for extracting, validating, and reviewing performance data.
- Dataiku / Alteryx knowledge is considered a plus.
- FMCGs or retailer background.
- Expertise in Forecasting and Analysis.
- Knowledge of Tobacco Industry.
