Eaton’s ES AMER PCS PCD division is currently seeking a Product Manager.
**What you’ll do**:
Eaton’s Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Product Manager. This position is located at our Ellisville, MO location. International relocation assistance and company sponsorship will be provided.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $ - $ a year.
**What you’ll do**:
The Product Manager is responsible for providing direction and leadership for the assigned Bussmann market segment and for profitable growth of the assigned market segment. Accountable for setting segment pricing strategy and price realization objectives. The Product Manager has ultimate responsibility for managing the assigned market segment through the entire product life cycle and developing new products based on market needs and opportunities. The Product Manager provides strategic direction for new product development and manages the product development resources to achieve cost targets and volume expectations on viable new projects. The Product Manager supports the efforts of operations teams to implement cost reduction projectsthat increase the profitability of the assigned product lines within their market segment. The market segment for this role is energy transition which includes EV, wind, solar and many other related areas.
Sets long term strategic plan for the Bussmann energy transition market segment and establishes product line strategic direction utilizing market research and competitive analysis information.
Establishes annual profit plan objectives for the segment. Responsible for meeting top line and bottom-line objectives and working closely both with PCS and eMobility.




Possesses a general understanding of current company manufacturing technologies and relies on manufacturing engineering to stay abreast of the latest technologies.
Has a broad understanding of energy transition, direct current technology and works with the sales team to maintain this intelligence and understand the customers in this segment.
Responsibility for sustaining core product lines to adapt to market change or to penetrate new markets and address competitive offerings. This includes recommending programs and promotional activities to strengthen market position for the market segment as well as potentially offering other product solutions.
Develops, implements and reviews tactical sales plans to meet annual sales volume, price, market share and operating profit objectives and monitors segment financial and market performance, implementing responsive tactical changes as required to meet our objectives.
Maintains primary contact with field sales organization in developing sales strategies, supporting customer cultivation plans and establishing effective communication channels. They are the liason between the plant and field sales organization to include developing segment value proposition tools for field sales.
Evaluation of product line cost reduction, modification, and process improvement recommendations from the manufacturing team for market acceptability. This includes regular documented meetings with the teams that give clear direction and priority based on a commercial perspective




Participation as a key member of a product development team through the concept, development, implementation and market introduction for the product or product line.
Responsibility for product literature content that includes features, benefits and performance data.
This includes printed and electronic formats. Monitor these areas as part of product life cycle management.
**Qualifications**:
**Required (Basic) Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
**Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience in developing product roadmaps, positioning strategy, price management, value proposition development, and in productlaunches
Experience in developing business strategy, planning, budgeting, and analytical skills
Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in the construction or industrial segments
Experience using SAP

Demonstrated understanding of circuit protection products
Ability to travel approximately 35%
Ability to engage in highly technical sales, strong presentation and training capabilities, ability to work across divisions within Eaton, knowledge of distribution channels and go to market strategies
Highly motivated and proven ability to operate in a matrix environment leveraging resources as appropriate
Proficiency in UL and NEC codes
Must be able to work independently and innovatively to meet the overall goals of the market segment
Strong teamwork skills are necessary, with the ability to leverage cross-functional resources effectively
