Job Description
Bose Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design the test fixtures needed to support the execution of acoustical, mechanical, and environmental validation testing for Automotive Division products in our test facilities in Tijuana, Mexico.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Design fixtures for acoustical, mechanical, and environmental validation testing.
- Work closely with the product development team to define the appropriated test fixture design based in product and test equipment specifications (tolerance analysis).
- Perform FEA analysis to ensure our test fixtures meet validation test specifications.




- Work with internal machine shop groups/engineering workshop and suppliers to optimize the manufacturability of test fixtures.
- Maintain and improve the existing test fixtures within the Bose Hardware Validation laboratories.
- Initiate and implement improvement projects to add capabilities, improve quality or reduce costs of testing and related departmental processes.
- Support the development of local test capabilities to meet automotive validation requirements.
Skills:
- Experience +4 years of solid modeling /CAD design experience.
- Must be proficient in SolidWorks or other computer-aided modeling software.
- Must possess a good understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Automotive experience is a plus.
- Lean/5S experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Must have a adaptable style that accommodates working on multiple projects in collaboration with members of various organizations and project teams.
- Must be a self-starter who performs well under limited guidance; is detail-oriented, and has a strong commitment to project deadlines.
- Must be fluent in English.

- BS in Mechanical engineering or related discipline required.
