This position is responsible to assure manufacturing process in the most efficient manner with hands-on support with lean techniques; working mainly with assembly area and New Product Introduction (NPI) Specialist in designing and error-proofing workstations and leading problem-solving teams; reducing quality errors and improving productivity, safety, & ergonomics, and cost reduction projects.
- Conduct process analysis and modeling, leading to optimization of the procedures and operations and improving process efficiency. (This may include capacity and cost modeling, bottleneck optimization, and equipment throughput and utilization analyses)
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow.
- Design layouts to place new equipment and optimize workspace for maximum efficiency
- Utilizes engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to support the design of optimal processes, identify and eliminate inefficiencies and non-value added tasks and insure the maximum and efficient utilization of resources
- Provide vision for and implement solutions in the areas of manufacturing, product quality, supply chain, and new product introduction
- Use best practice methods to harness and enable ideas from Manufacturing for improvement in production efficiency, productivity, reduction of error rates, reduction of scrap, elimination of waste and improvement in work station design
Experiência y requisitos
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.




- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Previous successful team leadership roles are desired.
- Advanced level skills in creating flow charts, mapping processes, problem solving methodologies (8D), working with databases and generating custom reports is required.
- Bachelor’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering; or 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lean Manufacturing Experience/Knowledge: JIT, Poka Yoke, Kanban, Cell Layout, flow optimization.
- Experience in design of experiments and statistical analysis is desirable.
- PFMEA experience/knowledge.
- Experienced in Time / Methods Study techniques.
- Knowledge of ESD Program Management desirable.
- Experience in layout planning (equipment/utilities), equipment purchases, process transfers, CAPEX planning and cost reduction project management are a plus
