**Freight Payment Analyst**
**Purpose**:
The Freight Payment Specialist will manage and oversee all freight payment activities related to the transportation of consumer health over-the-counter products.
This role ensures that freight invoices are processed accurately and timely, aligns with our company's policies and procedures, and collaborates closely with various departments to resolve any discrepancies.

**Key Tasks**:
- Invoice Processing:
- Review and verify freight invoices for accuracy and compliance with contracts and agreements.
- Ensure timely payment of all freight invoices to avoid service disruptions.
- Maintain and update coding matrix to ensure costs are allocated to the proper cost centers
- Discrepancy Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to freight charges.
- Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve billing disputes.
- Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of freight payments and related documents.
- Update and manage freight payment databases and systems.
- Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports on freight payment activities, including cost analysis and savings opportunities.
- Identify trends and provide insights for cost-saving initiatives.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure all freight payment processes comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to freight payments.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the logistics, procurement, finance,
and accounts payable teams to streamline freight payment processes.
- Liaise with carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews with suppliers to ensure alignment and avoid service interruptions.
**Qualification & Competencies**:
- Bachelor’s + 2 years / Masters Degree + 1 year of experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Product Supply, Customer Service or related field
- Experience in the consumer products industry is preferred
- Familiarity with freight payment systems and processes
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across boundaries and communicate well with 3rd party operations
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever changing requirements
- Ability to make decisions quickly - with or without information provided
- Experience utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP Systems required
- Working Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methods (Six Sigma) preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Advanced understanding of Transportation Law and Rating models
- Proficiency in Mode of Transportation rate schemes and assessorial.
